Come join us for this event that is perfect for both seasoned competitors and weekend warriors.
The course starts at the landing at Adventures Unlimited, through an open field that allows just enough time for runners to get plenty of spacing before passing the historic “Granny Peaden’s Cabin” and then quickly turns into single track canopy where you will run along the beautiful Wolfe Creek passing small waterfalls and the wedding venue. At approximately mile 2, the path opens again as you enter the state forest land and run down a forestry road and past an old hunting camp. From the hunting camp, you will traverse a short, single track trail through a low area where you may have the opportunity get your feet wet before transitioning into your watercraft.
At the transition, your kayak or canoe will be waiting for you along with all the necessary gear. You and/or your partner will carry your boat and gear a few yards to the water’s edge to launch.
From the launch site you will paddle 1.5 miles down the beautiful Coldwater river to the finish line.
